About Lexi

I’m Lexi, a tattoo artist at Revival Tattoo Studio in Urbandale, Iowa, in the Des Moines metro. I started tattooing in 2023 at Legacy Tattoo & Art Co. in Grimes, and joined Revival after a guest spot at Jade Rabbit Studio.

Florals and plants are what I draw most, and stipple shading is how I like to shade. I also love traditional work and illustrative pieces: fairies, mushrooms, animals and characters from shows people grew up with.

Working with my clients is the best part of this job. I draw every design by hand and take the time each one needs. I don’t use AI to generate tattoos, and I never will. A lot of my clients come in for their first tattoo. I explain each step before we start, and if you have an older tattoo you want covered, reworked or added to, I do that too.

Outside the studio I’m usually drawing, painting, or wood burning, or out in nature somewhere. My two cats, Sam and Frodo, supervise all of it.
